Once long ago; when I was a kid
as I found out that you exist;
but never, even in my wildest dreams,
would I have ever dared to dream
how life with you beside of me
could look like all about.
It didn't happen suddenly,
even though a heat grew deep inside of me
but stinging just like summer rays;
unforgotten are these days
when all the swamps dried out.
I sweat, I bled, I cried but kept on;
giving you my heart.
You've shown me love,
you gave me confidence
and helped me growing up.
You knew I always wanted more,
you've seen that many times before,
to listen up you made me hussle, falling;
telling me that you're my cause but not my calling.
Then helped me back up to my feet
and held my hand like you always did
when I was young, that lonely kid,
idolizing his hero smiling back from poster walls,
so lost in thought, with hopes and dreams;
That one was in honor to you Kobe,
Rest in Peace.
